1. In short
This website uses no tracking cookies on its ordinary pages. It keeps a few settings in your browser so that it works the way you chose. On the Your® Journey video pages, the optional tools listed in section 5 run only if you accept them in the banner. Content from other providers (maps and video) and one optional country-detection feature load only when you choose or allow them.
2. What we mean by cookies
Cookies are small files that a website saves on your device. We also use similar technology, mainly your browser’s local storage. Both are covered here and both are called “cookies” below.
3. What this website stores on your device
This is everything the website stores. None of it is used to follow you across other websites.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Any page | ||
mt-cookie-ack | Remembers that you have read the cookie notice. | Until you clear your browser data |
mt_audience | Remembers whether you browse as a patient or as a professional. | Until you clear your browser data |
Form entries (session storage) | Keeps what you typed if a form has to be corrected before it is sent. | Until you close the tab, or once the form is sent |
| Your® Journey pages | ||
mp-consent | Your cookie choices, with the date. | Until you change them |
mp-lang, mt-site-lang | The language you chose. | Until you clear your browser data |
mp-access-granted, mp-access-profile, mp-access-leads, mp-referral-leads | That you completed the access form or the “Tell my prosthetist” form, and the details you entered, so you are not asked again. Stays on your device. | Until you clear your browser data |
mp-watch | Your progress and “watched” marks in the video library. Stays on your device and is never sent to us. | Until you clear your browser data |
yj-centers | A temporary copy of the clinic list, so it loads faster. | Until refreshed |
yj_country (cookie) | The country you gave in the access form, so the site shows the right market. It is sent to our server with page requests. | 1 year |
4. Content from other providers
These load only when you choose or allow them. The provider then receives your IP address and technical details, and may set its own cookies.
- Google Maps. On the Contact and Find a clinic pages, the map appears only after you press the button to load it. Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.
- Videos. When you play a Your® Journey video, it is streamed to your browser by our Swiss video host, Infomaniak Network SA, which therefore sees your IP address.
- Country estimate. On the Your® Journey pages only, and only if you accept “Form convenience”, your IP address is sent to the service ipapi.co so that forms are pre-filled with your approximate country. Everything works without it.
- Links to other sites. The ordering platform (JotForm), our careers portal and social networks are separate sites with their own cookies once you visit them.
5. Optional tools (only with your consent)
These tools exist only on the Your® Journey pages and stay off until you accept them in the banner. Nothing else on this website analyses or tracks visitors. Some may not be in use yet: we list them in advance so you know what may be added. The banner offers only the tools that are switched on, and nothing is set before you accept.
| Category | What is set | Kept for |
|---|---|---|
| Audience measurement | Google Analytics: _ga and _ga_* cookies set by Google. | Up to 2 years. |
| Advertising | Meta (_fbp), LinkedIn (li_sugr, UserMatchHistory, bcookie), Google Ads (_gcl_aw, which holds the ID of your click on an ad). These providers can recognise you across websites. | From a few days to 2 years depending on the provider. |
| External content | YouTube videos embedded in the page. Until you accept, a thumbnail is shown and nothing is requested from Google. | Set by Google when the video starts. |
One exception, on the pages that touch your health. Advertising trackers are never loaded on the video library or on the "Tell my prosthetist" page, even if you accepted advertising elsewhere. What you read on those pages says something about your health, and that has no business reaching an ad network. One piece of information does leave them, and only if you accepted advertising: when you submit either of those two forms, our server tells Meta that a conversion happened. That signal carries none of your answers — not your name, not your e-mail, not your country, nothing about your situation — and it reports the site home page as its origin, never the form’s own address. If you arrived from a Google ad, the ID of that click is kept with your request, for the same measurement. Decline advertising in the banner and none of this takes place.
6. Your choices
- On most pages, a short notice explains this and stays until you dismiss it.
- On the Your® Journey pages, a banner lets you accept all, reject all, or choose. “Reject all” is as easy as “Accept all”, and nothing optional is switched on before you choose. You can change your choice at any time with “Manage cookies” at the bottom of those pages.
- In your browser you can block or delete cookies and site data at any time. Some settings, such as your language or your patient or professional view, will then be forgotten.
7. Legal basis
Storage that is strictly necessary to provide what you asked for, such as remembering your language, needs no consent (Swiss Telecommunications Act, Art. 45c; EU ePrivacy rules, in Germany § 25(2) TDDDG). Anything optional relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. How we handle personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes and contact
We will update this page if what the website stores changes. Questions: Contact@motiontech.ch.
