1. Who is responsible
The controller of your personal data is Swiss Motion Technologies SA (“MotionTech”), Avenue de Longemalle 9, CH-1020 Renens, Switzerland, UID CHE-442.107.522. For anything about your data: Contact@motiontech.ch, +41 77 525 27 79.
This policy covers this website, including the Your® Journey video pages. Ordering our products happens on a separate ordering platform, which has its own terms.
2. What we collect, and why
We collect only what you send us in a form, plus the technical data any website needs to work. There are no accounts. Analytics and advertising tools are used only on the Your® Journey pages, and only if you accept them in the cookie banner (see the Cookie Policy).
| When | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Contact form | Name, e-mail, phone, address, company (optional), your message. | To answer you. |
| Partner application, training request | Organisation, contact person, e-mail, phone (optional), country, your message. | To answer your application or request. |
| Demo Stand request | Practice, name, e-mail, phone (optional), country, the model and option you chose, your message. | To prepare and confirm your request. |
| “Tell my prosthetist” | Your name, e-mail and country; the name, town and contact details of your clinic; your message (optional). | To contact the clinic about Your® Liner on your behalf and to keep you informed (see section 3). |
| Your® Journey access form | First name, e-mail, country, language. Optional, and only with a separate tick: your profile (person with a prosthesis, relative, professional), amputation level and whether you wear a Your® Liner; whether you want product news. | To open the video library to you, tell you about new videos and, if you allowed it, suggest the videos that fit your situation. |
| Every form | The date, the consent wording you ticked, the page language and, on the video pages, your IP address. | To show, if ever needed, what you agreed to and when. |
| Every visit | IP address, date and time, page requested, browser (server logs kept by our host). | To run the site securely and stop abuse. |
After you send a form we e-mail you a short confirmation and forward your request to our team’s mailbox. The fields marked as required are needed to handle your request; without them we cannot answer.
3. Health information
Some of what you tell us is health information: that you use or are considering a prosthetic liner (“Tell my prosthetist”), and the optional profile on the Your® Journey access form. We use it only with your explicit consent, given by a separate tick, and only for the purpose stated next to it. We never use it for advertising and never pass it to insurers. Please do not send medical details in a message; your prosthetist will discuss them with you.
The Your® Journey video library records only anonymous counters of how often each video is played; your own progress stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
4. If you are a prosthetist named in “Tell my prosthetist”
A patient has given us your name, clinic and contact details so that we can tell you about their interest in Your® Liner. We use them only for that contact and its follow-up, and we say so in our first message to you. You can object at any time by writing to Contact@motiontech.ch.
5. Legal basis
- Your consent, for the forms, for health information and for optional features. You can withdraw it at any time, which does not affect what was done before.
- Steps you ask us to take before a possible contract, when you request a Demo Stand, apply as a partner or ask for training.
- Our legitimate interest in running the website securely, for server logs and abuse protection.
We apply the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, because we address people in the European Union, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
6. Who receives your data
We do not sell, rent or trade your data. Within MotionTech, only the people who handle your request see it. Outside MotionTech:
- Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva, Switzerland) hosts the website, its database and our e-mail, and streams the Your® Journey videos.
- The clinic you name in “Tell my prosthetist”, which we contact on your behalf.
- Google, only if you press the button to load a map. Google then receives your IP address.
- ipapi.co, only on the Your® Journey pages and only if you accept “Form convenience”, which receives your IP address to estimate your country.
- Google (Analytics, Ads and YouTube videos), Meta and LinkedIn, only on the Your® Journey pages and only if you accept the matching category in the cookie banner. They receive your IP address, the page you visit and an online identifier, and can recognise you across websites. Advertising tools are never loaded on the pages that concern your health. If you accepted advertising, our server also tells Meta that a form was sent, without any of your answers.
Our ordering platform, careers portal and social-media pages are separate services with their own privacy policies.
7. Where your data is stored
The data you send us is stored on servers in Switzerland. Data leaves Switzerland only if you load a Google map, or accept the country estimate, analytics or advertising in the cookie banner; those providers are in the United States and, as far as they are certified, covered by the Swiss-US and EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The EU recognises Switzerland as providing adequate protection.
8. How long we keep it
- Requests sent through the website’s forms: deleted automatically 24 months after we receive them. If a request leads to a business relationship, the data needed for it is kept under that relationship.
- Your® Journey sign-ups and messages: deleted automatically 36 months after they are sent, or earlier if you ask.
- E-mail copies of your request in our mailbox: deleted on the same schedule.
- Server logs: kept by our host only for a short period, for security.
9. Cookies
The cookies the website uses, including the optional analytics and advertising cookies on the Your® Journey pages, and why, are listed in our Cookie Policy.
10. Your rights
You can ask us at any time for a copy of your data, its correction or deletion, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a machine-readable format, and to withdraw your consent. Write to Contact@motiontech.ch; we reply within 30 days and may ask you to confirm your identity.
You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or to the data protection authority of the EU country where you live.
11. Security
The website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Forms are checked on the server and protected against abuse, and stored requests can be opened only by authorised MotionTech staff.
12. Children
The website is not aimed at children under 16. If a child has sent us data, write to us and we will delete it.
13. Changes
We will update this policy when the website changes what it collects. The version on this page, with the date below, is the one that applies.
